Pinnacle's Advanced Scheduling Technology

Soon after forming Pinnacle, we recognized that scheduling would be our most formidable challenge. This would truly "make-or-break" the company. Success would require a balancing act between providing Members with great access to their yacht at a sensible price-point while earning a reasonable profit so the company could prosper over the long term.

With this challenge, Pinnacle made a large financial investment and dedicated several years to develop scheduling technology that we humbly believe to be the most advanced in the fractional yacht, private jet and real estate industries to date. Without this technology it would be impossible to deliver an ownership-like experience on a premium yacht at a reasonable price in a way that is fair to all Members.

In our opinion, the lack of this sophisticated technology has led to the demise of other companies and the disappointment of their members. We say this with the utmost respect for those well-intended efforts.

Central to our technology is our proprietary scheduling algorithm which as been refined each season during its decade-plus of use. This algorithm takes preference information gathered from all members and then optimally produces the initial yacht schedule of use for all.

Running on Pinnacle's special-purpose custom scheduling computer, this algorithm solves 3,000 simultaneous equations subject to 16,000 constraints, and generates upwards of 10,000 schedule iterations which are gauged against multiple dimensions of fairness to derive an optimal usage distribution. Simply said, Pinnacle software assures a great schedule that is fair to everyone.

After the initial schedule is produced, Pinnacle's easy-to-use web-based system allows members to claim additional time and trade time providing great flexibility as the season progresses.
